Overview:
This is not a ‘how to draw’ class. It is anticipated that students will have some degree of drawing ability coming into it. However, if a student does not have a drawing ability they are advised to take a local community college or similar drawing class to upgrade a drawing ability before entering this class. (Note: 'Foundational Certificate in Animation' students are required to do this and show evidence of doing so.) Instead the focus of this class is to observe and accurately replicate through drawing and animation what is seen. Exercises will involve sequential still life studies, moving model work and animated concept sketches from memory and imagination.
