Overview:
It might be argued that ‘Motion Comics’ are a valuable new medium of commercial expression for self-motivated and story-driven traditional artists and animators. This class therefore will deal with all aspects of creating a basic animated graphic novel - addressing the rules of storytelling, concept art, design, layout and digital animation. The final result of this introductory course will be an interactive PDF document that contains visual comic book content with some frames being capable of animating interactively at the click of a mouse. Indications on how this can be transferred to interactive web pages will also be addressed.
